Out of all the tools and toys that trans masculine or trans men use, none is as confusing as the soft packer.
It’s met with questions, curiosity, and sometimes a little bit of nervousness. People might immediately assume that all prosthetics or packers for trans men and transmasculine folks have to be used for play or sex, but obviously that’s not the case!
But first, a little lesson about packers!
A packer is an object that people will use to simulate or create a bulge where there is none. They come in two types, largely: the soft packer, or the hard packer.
Soft packers are exactly that–soft dick like objects that simulate a flaccid dick (and balls, can’t forget nature’s coin purse). They’re usually quite comfortable to wear, though they likely still need a bit of time to get used to them. Lots of trans masculine people find that it alleviates their bottom (genital) dysphoria, making them feel more whole and aligned with their internal mental body map.
Hard packers are prosthetics or dildos that are erect and usually meant for sex. They’re a dick with a purpose, and that purpose is to have a ton of fun! They’re not usually something you pop in while you’re out for a run, at least not unless that’s a part of your kink (no kink shaming here)! They can be extremely realistic to the point of being almost startling to see when not on a body, or not. It all depends on that individual person’s comfort.

For a lot of trans men, wearing certain types of pants may emphasize the lack of a penis and make them feel more dysphoric. They want to wear high-waisted tight pants, but having a flat crotch makes them feel far away from the inspiration of David Bowie in Labyrinth.
Some trans men have experienced being unnecessarily outed due to not having a typical bulge found on someone with a dick! It’s sad to say, but sometimes packing is necessary for safety reasons.
For others, packing is a necessity. They absolutely have to wear one day to day, even while they sleep, because it just feels better. Without a packer, they don’t feel comfortable in their bodies and might experience a heightened sense of dysphoria. Mr. Limpy
Ah, Mr Limpy. What can be said about a packing legend like this one?
Once a person has tired of using a rolled-up sock to pack, the next option they reach for is Mr Limpy.
Especially as it comes in a few different colors and four different sizes.
Mr Limpy is a great packer for someone who wants an affordable and very easy-to-buy packer. Almost every sex shop I’ve been to has one or two in stock, and if your local haunt doesn’t have one, the World Wide Web certainly does. If you’re looking to get a Mr Limpy, don’t be afraid to size up. When not wearing rigid jeans, I’ve found the smallest size tends to make me look like I have a boner (since there’s no length to flatten).
The downside of Mr Limpy is that it isn’t silicone.
So it might not be the best option for someone who has extremely sensitive skin. I personally prefer silicone over “Cyberskin” but if you aren’t going to wear your packer pressed against your bare skin, it might not be an issue for you.
Another downside? It doesn’t look very realistic, besides obviously being a penis.
There are no details like a range of colors or veins, and the feeling of it might be the least realistic part of it. You remember those stretchy sticky hands you could get at a dollar store as a kid? It kind of resembles this. Sorry, Mr Limpy! You’re definitely popular for a reason, but I would maybe steer people to other options.

Blush Performance Packer
Move over, Mr Limpy, there’s a new guy on the block that is looking to take your spot as the recommended budget packer!
If you really liked Mr. Limpy and how affordable it was, but wanted something that looked a bit more realistic, the Blush Performance Packer could be exactly what you need.
It has thicker veins, giving it a more vascular appearance versus the softer sculpt of Mr. Limpy. It looks a lot like a typical veiny dildo, only flopped over due to not being made out of firm silicone.
Sadly, it only comes in two shades: light or medium, and only the light shade has a pink head to make it more realistic.
That’s genuinely disappointing. Why paint one out of the two dicks shades when it’s clearly possible to paint both? At that point, just don’t do it at all.
It’s also made out of cyberskin, which is not silicone and isn’t recommended to be pressed against your bare skin.
It’s unfortunately a bit too squishy for me, almost a liquid-y texture! It feels like squishing Jell-O with your bare hands, only it doesn’t break apart? Science, bruh.

Banana Prosthetics Packers
If you’re looking for a wide variety of silicone soft FTM packers in a range of skin tones for under 100$, Banana Prosthetics has you covered.
They have over ten different styles in seven different skin colors, cut, and uncut, and that’s not even including their two soft packers/STP devices made for people with metoidioplasty (a type of bottom surgery).
I love the range they offer in terms of their prosthetics.
Some are sculpted, and others are actually molded from real penises. (You get to be a dick doppelganger, and I think that’s pretty cool.)
I love that they have an extremely small prosthetic that isn’t totally swamped with an unnaturally large scrotum like others offered on the market.
The SP4 or the SP5 are the smallest sizes at Banana Prosthetics, and both seem to be excellent options for a person who isn’t sure about soft packing, or for someone with a smaller frame that might feel uncomfortable with a larger packer. I love that it isn’t just a small dick with massive balls, like others on the market.
I received the SP8, which was modeled after a cis man’s dick and has a nice curve to it so that it packs nicely and flat.
It’s soft, but not as soft as something like the Mr. Limpy, but not quite as firm as the classic firmness from Reel Magik. It’s a nice happy medium, and the color matches my own skin nicely!

Axolom Echo Packer
Imagine if the aesthetic of the ReelMagik combined with the squish of the classic Mr. Limpy… but with floating testicles.
This is what the Axolom soft packer feels like, and it is fantastic.
When I unwrapped the Echo packer, I immediately noticed how soft it was.
This feels like something I could comfortably wear all day and not feel like I’m showing off any dangerous priapism. It wears well in pants, and flattens in a comfortable, natural way.
The texture of the silicone is a little on the slicker side, and feels more similar to some soft fantasy dildos than a more realistic skin texture. This isn’t too much of an issue, especially with how comfortable and reasonably priced they are!
This fantastic packer comes in a nice variety of sizes, skin tones and cut and uncut configurations as well!
So no matter who you are, you are bound to find a perfect fit!
Just keep in mind that, while I know that I went for a more modest sized packer ( the 3.5″ ), I do find the scrotum to be a little too small compared to the penis.
The shaft is actually pretty well sized, but the whole package is sized in a way that looks a little off for my body. This could be an ideal dick for someone who is younger or much smaller than my roughly 6’ tall height.
Still, I highly recommend it!

ReelMagik Basic 3” Uncut Soft
Reel Magik is another big producer of fantastically realistic prosthetics, but they also create affordable Basic soft packers in two different firmnesses: soft, and classic.
I received the 3” Uncut packer in a soft, and boy, does this guy have an unbelievable texture. I’ve never felt a dick like it!
It’s so incredibly soft that it’s essentially like, “what if a pair of sweatpants were a dick?”. It is an extremely comfortable packer. Though it is very soft, it does not feel as squishy or unrealistic as traditional packers like Mr. Limpy. The Reel Magik soft genuinely feels like a marshmallow a bit, but still has some realistic firmness and doesn’t feel slick.
Another huge plus is that it’s uncut (uncircumcised).
So many packers on the market are automatically circumcised, and that’s not what everyone wants their dick to look like! It’s fantastic that there are affordable FTM packers that are realistic and have foreskin.
The 3” size is also a great and totally adequate size for most dudes. I personally find it smaller than that, and it risks looking like you have a boner if you’re not wearing rigid jeans (since it doesn’t fold flat). If I want a boner, I’ll wear a damn hard packer, you know?
Small note about color: I received it in the P2 skintone, and while it matches my skin tone very well, it leans a bit on the cooler, almost ashy side. I would have preferred if the silicone was 10-15% more reddish to look slightly more realistic, similar to how the classic firmness soft packer looks like.
This is a nice packer for someone looking for specifically a silicone soft packer. Do you have sensitive skin, or just plain ol’ prefer silicone? It isn’t heavy, it feels comfortable and soft, but realistic enough that I’m not worried about someone getting a peek.
If you don’t need an extremely realistic paint job on your packer, this one is my favourite, especially for the price point!

ReelMagik Basic 5” Uncut Classic
On this larger uncut cock, we went with the Classic firmness.
Out of all the packers on our list, this is by far the firmest. It’s not as firm as a classic hard packer like the Vixen Mustang, but it’s sturdy. It almost feels like a stress ball, but one for people who have strong hands (aka not me). The firmness is similar to a penis that’s 80% erect, and for a lot of people, that’s going to be a huge plus.
The size is also a bit on the big end for everyday packing.
However, a 5” packer is often recommended for people who are looking to have phalloplasty, as it most accurately represents the size a neo-penis would be after surgery. It’s quite a lot to pack with, so if you’re not certain packing is for you, I would steer you towards a more humble size first. Work your way up!
The color of this one is the same as the soft firmness packer, but the reddish tones are much more saturated. I personally prefer it; it’s more natural, especially on someone with more warmth in their skin.
This is a packer for someone looking to impress.
Is it already grey sweatpants season? Are you going for a night out and want to impress? Grab this bad boy, and everyone in the gym or bar will be eyeballing your junk. It’s just… powerful.

Emisil FL 02
When we talk about realistic packers that are also prosthetic, the Emisil FL 02 is up near the top of the list.
It has everything you’d want in a soft, extremely realistic packer!
Let’s talk about the immediate visual impact: the paint job. There are veins, plus an extremely realistic lighting of the skintone on the middle of the shaft, and a good amount of darkness around where a circumcision scar would be (as this is a circumcised prosthetic).
The testicles are a nice shade darker than the rest of it, which works extremely well for my skintone. It reminds me of the shade of red my hands can turn outside in the cold, which makes a lot of sense and makes it look very realistic.
The testicles are floating!
This means that inside the silicone scrotum (great band name, by the way), there are two oval-shaped fake testicles inside the pouch. This allows it to push the realism to another level and help the wearer feel that much more comfortable. However, if you squeeze them, you will notice that they are much firmer than testicles usually are and move more than nature intends.
Side note: try not to squeeze or manhandle your scrotum too much, especially on a beautiful work of art like this. They can burst if you beat ‘em up! While it is frankly very realistic, kind of gender affirming, protect your junk! If you ever get kicked in the soft packer, you might also fall to the ground at the thought that your beautiful dick might have taken a terrible blow.
I love how squishy the shaft of the FL 02 is as well.
It’s firmer and more realistic than the cheaper options like the Mr Limpy, but if you squeeze a bit too hard, you will notice that there’s only squish inside it and nothing else.
The FL 02 can be worn with a packing strap or packing underwear like your average soft packer, but if you want to wear this without a harness, you can purchase special medical adhesive to glue the skin-like tab directly to your body! (Emisil recommends Silicone Medical Grade Adhesive on their website FAQ.) This can only be recommended if you do not have a sensitivity or allergy to medical adhesives!
One more thing: shave very well beforehand, or else you might have a waxing session when trying to remove your dick. At the end of the day, use a Silicone medical-grade adhesive Remover and gently remove it from your skin.

The ReelMagik Bare 4.5” Cut
This time we went with a fully customizable premium Reelmagik dick from their Bare line to see how good these can get!
Customized with hard firm fill, movable skin, reel soft scrotum, pleasure pocket, in M9, with added vein color, circumcision scar, and protective matte finish! It’s basically a luxury car with all the options of flaccid cocks!
This is another entry in the category of soft packers for trans men that crosses over into being an extremely realistic prosthetic, especially with the movable skin option.
With the movable skin, the feel is unreal, just absolutely unreal. It’s such an incredible add-on that makes it feel over-the-top realistic.
For me, I care deeply about how realistic a packer feels in comparison to the real thing: it’s important that it looks real, but how does it pass the squish test?
Does it feel like a fidget toy, or does it feel too hard or just right? The movable skin with the hard, firm feel passes the test with flying colors. It really feels like a natal, bio-dick. The only thing that tips me off is that it’s cooler than a human body, but hey, I can just pretend it’s my vampire dick.
I also love that there’s a pleasure pocket on a soft packer. Here’s why:
As someone with bottom growth, having a flat back on a prosthetic meant to be flush against your body can get uncomfortable.
Since a t-dick sticks out a bit (or a lot if you’re lucky), the heavy flat back of a prosthetic can press up against it and flattens your junk in a way that can really get sore after a few hours. It can feel like you’re wearing a chastity cage!
Having a pleasure pocket is more about being able to tuck my junk into a comfortable spot. This is a huge win for me, and will make wearing a realistic prosthetic like this much more comfortable.
The paint detail is quite soft, almost bordering on delicate. I like it! But…
I wish it was a little bit more varied in tones, and I would have liked the scrotum to be a bit darker or a little more red. However, it’s still extremely realistic!
