Welcome to the Carousel of Curiosities for monster fuckers and villain lovers!
If you find yourself wrinkling your nose at that, pause for a moment and allow my forked tongue to convince you. I mean, we can argue that society has always been a little curious about monster fucking, at least in a forbidden kind of way. There are animal-headed Egyptian deities, insatiable Greek minotaurs, beautiful princesses, and the beastly princes that love them. Beauty and the Beast, anyone?
Never mind the explosion in popularity with monster movies like Frankenstein, the worldwide phenomenon of Twilight which gripped the hearts of a generation, and alien movies. Monsters and villains don’t always have to be remarkably inhuman in their appearance, either! I’d argue that wanting to fuck certain members of the X-Men would count as monster fucking.
All I’m saying is that it seems perfectly human to find oneself attracted to humanoid creatures fully capable of loving us back in all the ways we desire deep down.
So this October, I present to you a treat with no tricks. Here’s a compiled list of various monsters and villains, for the baddies of all types and those that fuck them.

Interview With a Vampire (Series)
Let’s start at the beginning of so many people’s love of monsters: Anne Rice, and her beautifully corrupt band of hot vampires.
It seems like Anne Rice and her novels have not only entertained the minds of young people for the last few decades but also their fantasies. She was able to catapult vampires from being secretly seductive, a private fantasy for those closeted monster lovers out there, all the way to the very front line of people’s erotic daydreams.
The first movie Interview With a Vampire in the early 1990s was shockingly fantastic and definitely gay, so much so that I often forget that the vampire Lestat was played by Tom Cruise.
The movie sadly tones down a lot of the homoeroticism compared to the books, but observant viewers will definitely see the queerness seeping in. Luckily, the Interview With a Vampire series from AMC does not refrain from the extreme queerness. The latest series modernizes some of the story, expanding and exploring more of the torrid and complex relationships between these hot immortals.

Howl by Ren Strapp
I was surprised by Howl. I’ve been a fan of Ren Strapp’s work for a couple of years now, especially with her comics on Autrostraddle. While I love her queer slice of life, I never realized just how hot her NSFW content would be! (What a fool I’ve been…)
Howl is an erotic comic with characters from her safe-for-work webcomic The Shepherd’s Sword, a butch4butch story set in a fantasy Appalachia. However, you don’t have to have read the webcomic in order to enjoy Howl. It stands well on its own two feet (or paws)!
The first page is refreshing. Instead of a cowering victim of a werewolf, the reader is confronted with a confident human, commanding the werewolf. I love it! The dynamics between the pair make it worthwhile, to the point where I’ve started to read The Shepherd’s Sword just to see more from them.
There’s everything you’d want from a queer lesbian werewolf erotic comic including wrestling, scratching, and delicious power struggles. It has gender fuckery, which I did not expect but thoroughly enjoyed!

The Shape of Water
What kind of monster fucker round-up would be complete without at least recommending Shape of Water? It would be incomplete!
Guillermo del Toro was the perfect person for this type of movie, as he seems to consistently be able to look at the world through the eyes of the monsters in an empathetic way without melodrama. He’s thoughtful and is able to get people to see monsters as a way for us to explore empathy towards those different from us.
The Shape of Water is ultimately for the hopeless romantic, the one who feels misunderstood by society at large.
After hearing all the hooplah about “she fucks a fish monster”, I’m surprised at how whimsical the overall experience was, and how tender the characters are for each other. It dives into the feelings of being “othered” in society, and how we learn to survive when we’re so often denied happiness purely from being different from the mainstream.
I enjoy the movie so much that I’m trying to get my claws on the novelization of the film. It’s that good!
(Also, after Hellboy and The Shape of Water, I’m pretty sure Guillermo del Toro has a “Monster Fucker” t-shirt or enamel pin stashed away in his private collection.)

In the Lily Pads by Grace Desmarais
If you’ve watched The Shape of Water over and over, eager to find some more hot fish men to titillate you, I have quite the treat for you. (Not to be confused with hot fishermen, which will be my next article, pending approval.)
Fear not! You don’t have to watch it again, just pick up a copy of In the Lily Pads, an erotic comic from artist Grace Desmarais. What makes this story particularly special is that it’s like all the aesthetics of a story like Bridgerton, except that the underappreciated main character finds herself in the arms of an aquatic hunk instead of a pantalon-wearing duke.

Dungeons of Disrepute by wormvermin
Dungeons and Dragons is going through a bit of a renaissance lately. From podcasts to Netflix shows to movies, it seems like almost everyone has been experiencing a bit of a boner for the escapism, fantasy, and adventure D&D provides.
But what if you’re finding your desires only teased and unfulfilled? What if you’re finding yourself wanting to explore the sordid possibilities of adventurers being captured or overpowered by the beautiful monsters they’re up against? What if you want to see your party fuck, not slice, a monster into submission?
Simple! Pick up a (virtual) copy of Dungeons of Disrepute, and find relief! (Or titillation, whatever you really desire!)
There’s something really pure about these comics. While it’s a series about an adventuring party going through a dangerous dungeon, crawling through traps set by a malevolent and sinister (and horny), the series is above all enjoyable to read! The characters are recognizable and distinct, and each is interesting in their own right.
Plus there are a lot of different fantasies and kinks that get played out on the page, so there’s something there for the whole party to enjoy.

Spring with the Unicorns by Taylor Titmouse
Now, I know what people usually think when we talk about “sexy monsters”. It’s all black lace, sharp fangs, and blood under fangs. But! Not all monsters have to be dark and spooky in order to be sexy.
Heck, even unicorns can be sexy and Taylor Titmouse’s “Spring with the Unicorns” proves that. This is a hot story peppered with beautiful illustrations about horny unicorns fighting to win the favor of the beautiful Laurestine(pun very much intended). It feels like a cottagecore erotic short story, something you’d want to read on the verge of spring while wearing a summer dress while eating ripe fruit.
Did I mention it’s also t4t? Yes, trans for trans-unicorn-erotica!
An element that I found refreshing about Spring with the Unicorns is that it shows a t4t dynamic around sex where other good t4t erotica and porn can struggle with. Like, there’s this expectation that trans people are somehow so dysphoric around their factory default genitals that they can never enjoy using them.
Of course, there are trans people who find this deeply uncomfortable, and that’s okay! However, there are also a bunch of trans folks who find the lack of diverse erotica more than just a disappointment.

It’s no surprise that I’m a big fan of Smut Peddler’s erotic comic anthologies. When the books are stuffed full with engaging stories, hot characters, and even hotter fantasies… what’s not to love? Never mind it being a feast for the eyes–this is a full restaurant full of carnal delights!
As I was writing this, prepared to recommend My Monster Boyfriend I thought, “Man, they should make a version of this for monster girlfriends!” Guess what? They recently published an anthology for all your monstrous women fantasies, too often ignored by mainstream erotica and publishers.
